ENCOUNTER THE RESERVE
Take a Look…
Mt Leura and Mt Sugarloaf offers spectacular, birds-eye views of the surrounding area.
Test your eyes out and find local landmarks, including Camperdown’s clocktower, Lake Purrumbete and Mount Elephant.
If you’re lucky, you may also spot the Grampian Mountains, some 100km away.
You can drive to the Mt Leura lookout, where the Kath’s track lookout and the Trigg point lookout give you a 360 view.
For those more adventurous, it is a short (but steep) walk to the top of Mt Sugarloaf, but the views are well worth it.
Talk a Walk…
Mt Leura and Mt Sugarloaf have an extensive network of walking tracks across the reserves catering for a range of ages and fitness levels.
The Panaroma trail is a good way to experience the reserves from all aspects.
Be on the lookout for Swamp Wallabies that are often frequent the reserves or watch the acrobatics of the local birds of prey.
Find walking trail brochures in the shelter at the top of Mt Leura.
